To love a Baobab

I started my day in the relative cool of sunrise, then it got hot so fast that I had ice cream for breakfast. Before driving into a world of dust, heat and drought, where I spent the morning photographing live stock, dead of thirst and hunger, on the road side.

Later, when the earth slowly tilted away from the sun, and Baobabs’ caught the last rays of light in their massive branches. I picked my way carefully around thorn tangles to the biggest tree of all… a cliff of tree, under which were strung two hammocks.

And as a storm growled in the distance and the hot wind shook my hammock, I fell in love, with a tree…
